after reaching mainstream success, PopSockets became associated with the “Target mom.” known for its basic utility, customers were completely unaware of its full potential for customization and interchangeability.

i joined to help rebrand and reposition PopSockets for a younger aspirational genzennial audience, reframing “that thing on the back of your phone” to an ecosystem of self-expression.

our trailer gave fans an idea of the breadth of the No Man’s Sky universe while showcasing its in-game discovery mechanics.

this fast-moving animation teased just a fraction of the ways fans can upgrade a ship in No Man’s Sky.

we broke down 18 quintillion in words the Internet could understand, comparing things from our universe to the nearly infinite universe found in the game.

geo-targeting fans

on paid social, we used geo-targeting to re-create the game’s environmental readout system using a fan’s real city.

no man’s weather

we translated the game’s extreme weather conditions into a language fans could understand by utilizing a format fans already
knew how to read—the weather app UI.
